Dana Catoe

Contingency Advisor

Following a distinguished 20-year career in the United States Marine Corps and more than 10 years in law enforcement in South Carolina, Mr. Catoe focused his considerable skills on local educational institutions and their safety. Since 2012, he has worked for School District Five of Lexington and Richland counties in South Carolina to craft and refine complex safety standards that keep students and staff alike safe.

In 1983, Dana Catoe graduated from Parris Island bootcamp and began a career that would take him to more than 40 countries serving combat and peace-time assignments. He brought to bear all of his knowledge to create rock-solid school emergency management systems that have made day-to-day life for students and staff alike safer and more secure than ever before. Throughout this time, Dana travelled to conferences and attended courses to maintain his edge in response to the ever-more complex situations that schools today face.
